One Brand Series - Essence

Image
Essence Make Up Review I heard about essence cosmetics through another addiction of mine Pinterest. I had seen that the brand was supposed to have a lot of dupes to other products and the feedback was positive, so of course, I just had to try it out, all for the purposes of my blog ;-) I had a look online and discovered that the nearest store that stocked Essence was called Wilko and wasn't too far from me. I went in and bought a couple of basic items initially and then ordered a few more things online a few weeks ago. I'll list everything I've purchased and my reviews. I am obsessed with lip liners and have them in all colours these were only £1.00 each so I managed to control myself and only bought three ha. This is called G irl Next Door and is described a long lasting lip liner its also an automatic liner. It's a nice nude colour quite subtle, I wore it to work a few times and its quite creamy, I'd say I had to top it up maybe twice throughout t...

Review Urban Decay NAKED Palette

Image
I 'm a little late in reviewing this as I've had this palette for quite a while, there is now a NAKED 2 palette out. However, this is one of the best palette's i've ever used and to not mention it would be a crime against make up lovers ;) This palette is so good for many reasons, the range of colours, before I bought it I thought it was just very neutral colours, boy was I wrong. The range of colours goes from neutral to bold and everything in between. Offering the most versatile use in one palette. Another plus is that you really could just use this one palette to create so many looks, day to night, weddings, natural etc. The colours range is; Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep and Gunmetal. The pigment, as in all Urban Decay eyeshadows, I find, is just fantastic. There are also matte colours in the palette so you can mix and match. Its really lightweight and would fit in a handbag no problem! This...

Dior Garden Party

Image
So I was in Boots today (always dangerous lol) picking up some things and I saw THE most beautiful make up at the DIOR counter. This in itself is not unsual but the main event was the beautiful collection (GARDEN PARTY) of pastel colours this includes a beautiful palette which is limited edition, see below;  PIC 1 - Granville Garden PIC 2 - Milly Garden The palette includes 3 eyeshadows and 2 lip glosses. The case is pale pink with delicate and two gorgeous silver-plated rosebud clasps. The palette retail at £55.00 ($87.00) DIOR are high end cosmetics hence the big pricetag but if your looking for a treat then you do get what you pay for, of course remember Valentines Day is just around the corner too!  The popular 5 shade Dior palette (GARDEN ROSES) and (GARDEN PASTELS) also has some gorgeous shades, with lovely greens, violets and pinks. Price is £41.00 ($64.00). Finally are these limited edition, scented(!) nail p...

Review- Urban Decay

Image
Urban Decay Ammo Palette I have been missing in action for a while, but I'm back. I'm slightly ashamed to say that this was my first urban decay purchase! I've heard how brilliant their stuff is obviously but never really managed to try any of it out. I have a voucher for a really good website http://www.lookfantastic.com/ so decided to go for this as the colours looked great. The packaging is really nice, very girly! As well as the 10 ahmazing colours you get, there is also a blending brush and their fabulous primer potion in this set as well. From the dark and sparkly oil slick, to the gorgeous and glowing midnight cowboy rides again, the colours are not only fantastic but the names are pretty cool too! This palette is fantastic, the colours are so variable and you can go from day to party in a sweep of a brush! The pigment is amazing, the only thing is that the colours are very very shimmery so if you are looking for something more matte I would maybe think about ...

Review MAC Mineralize Skinfinish - Petticoat

Image
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish! Its taken me a while but I've finally gotten round to doing a review of this fab product.I had been desperate to get this when MAC had brought out there new colours recently but unfortunately like a lot of people I missed them and within a few days they were all sold out at my local MAC and online! :( So I had kindof gave up. I then had a look on ebay, I don't normally buy MAC or high end products on ebay to be honest because a lot of the time its fradulent etc. Anywho I decided to purchase this as they had my shade (petticoat) and I thought the cost was really reasonable £21.86 ($34.80 us dollars). This is actually cheaper than if I had bought it from MAC! I did have to wait a week or so for delivery but it was soooo worth it. The item was packaged really well and I was so happy when I opened it after a lot of inspection (lol) that it was 100% genuine. I used this on Saturday night for the first time, after applying my make up I just used ...

Review - Avon 3 in 1 Lip Gloss/Lip Stick

Image
Review Avon 3 in 1 So like many girls I really like Avon, some of the products aren't the best but some are really staple items for anyones make up bag. This is really one of them! I choose the colour passion plum which is quite a dark colour for me normally as I'm pretty pale! It comes in nice packaging and I paid £5.00 pounds for it (around $7 dollars I believe). This was on special offer as you find most things will be at some point in Avon. This is really a brilliant product, not only because of the fact you have the lipstick and lipgloss in one you can also use either or and dont have to use the same one etc. The lipstick goes on soooo smoothly and the colour is fantastic really really nice and feels lovely on. The wand for the lipstick is really nice too and helps with putting it on. The gloss is lovely and shimmery too and really gives the lipstick a kick! I got so many compliments while wearing this and everyone wanted to know what it was. I think for the money ...
