missing in action!

Hello, I've been a very bad blogger been really busy lately but have got lots of new products to review and try out to follow!

This and that...

After seeing a recommendation I've just finished the first book in the Pretty Little Liars series by Sara Shepard was really good! I see there is a tv series coming here to the UK but to be honest I think I'll read the rest of the books first :D Friday tomorrow and then I'm off for a weeks holiday, I can't wait, will hopefully get lots of blogging fitted in for a change ;-)

Beauty Tip 6!

Lips! One of the most important things not just for make up but day to day, winter to summer we have to look after our lips. Always have a lip balm/conditioner to hand especially when it gets colder and lips can get dry and chapped (ouch). Before applying any lip colour you should apply lip balm to give lips some moisture, this will also help colour go on smoothly and stay on. The best way to find out what colours suit you is to discover if you have warm or cool skin tones. How can you tell? Well if you go through your make up bag and find two shades of make up (any make up will do blush, lipstick etc) find one that is slightly rusty/orangey in colouring then find another that has pinky/lavender tones. Rub one of each of the colours on both your cheeks and then compare both, one should look 'better' than the other..whichever works best will show your skin tone. Orangey/Rusty Colour = WARM TONES Pinky/Lavender Colour = COOL TONES This list below gives you an idea of lips

Review- Urban Decay

Image
Urban Decay Ammo Palette I have been missing in action for a while, but I'm back. I'm slightly ashamed to say that this was my first urban decay purchase! I've heard how brilliant their stuff is obviously but never really managed to try any of it out. I have a voucher for a really good website http://www.lookfantastic.com/ so decided to go for this as the colours looked great. The packaging is really nice, very girly! As well as the 10 ahmazing colours you get, there is also a blending brush and their fabulous primer potion in this set as well. From the dark and sparkly oil slick, to the gorgeous and glowing midnight cowboy rides again, the colours are not only fantastic but the names are pretty cool too! This palette is fantastic, the colours are so variable and you can go from day to party in a sweep of a brush! The pigment is amazing, the only thing is that the colours are very very shimmery so if you are looking for something more matte I would maybe think about

Day off!

Why is it when you get a lovely well deserved day off from work the weather is miserable??? Not to worry I'm just chillin in the house its far too cold to step outside :( Got a party tonight so will be getting prepared for that! Unsure of what make up look to do? Am thinking of maybe doing some picture tutorials for my blog.. any news and updates to follow! Happy Friday! BF

Beauty Tip 5!

Lush Lashes After applying false lashes to get rid of any excess bits of lash glue cover this up by adding a little black eyeliner where needed, this will cover any extra -  sexy eyes good to go!

Review MAC Mineralize Skinfinish - Petticoat

Image
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish! Its taken me a while but I've finally gotten round to doing a review of this fab product.I had been desperate to get this when MAC had brought out there new colours recently but unfortunately like a lot of people I missed them and within a few days they were all sold out at my local MAC and online! :( So I had kindof gave up. I then had a look on ebay, I don't normally buy MAC or high end products on ebay to be honest because a lot of the time its fradulent etc. Anywho I decided to purchase this as they had my shade (petticoat) and I thought the cost was really reasonable £21.86 ($34.80 us dollars). This is actually cheaper than if I had bought it from MAC! I did have to wait a week or so for delivery but it was soooo worth it. The item was packaged really well and I was so happy when I opened it after a lot of inspection (lol) that it was 100% genuine. I used this on Saturday night for the first time, after applying my make up I just used a litt

Beauty Tip 4!

Instant Cheekbones! To make your face look a little more defined and gorgeous after applying your foundation as usual take a concealer two tones lighter than foundation and gently dab under each cheekbone. The effect is subtle but really works a good highlighter to make those cheeks a la catwalk :D

Bad Blogger :(

I have been a very bad blogger, hads lots of things going on holidays and work etc.. will get back on the beauty case asap! BF :P

Reviews!

So i just got my hands on some new MAC make up and a new Urban Decay palette how excited am I??? Reviews to follow :D peace and make up luv x

Review - Avon 3 in 1 Lip Gloss/Lip Stick

Image
Review Avon 3 in 1 So like many girls I really like Avon, some of the products aren't the best but some are really staple items for anyones make up bag. This is really one of them! I choose the colour passion plum which is quite a dark colour for me normally as I'm pretty pale! It comes in nice packaging and I paid £5.00 pounds for it (around $7 dollars I believe). This was on special offer as you find most things will be at some point in Avon. This is really a brilliant product, not only because of the fact you have the lipstick and lipgloss in one you can also use either or and dont have to use the same one etc. The lipstick goes on soooo smoothly and the colour is fantastic really really nice and feels lovely on. The wand for the lipstick is really nice too and helps with putting it on. The gloss is lovely and shimmery too and really gives the lipstick a kick! I got so many compliments while wearing this and everyone wanted to know what it was. I think for the money

This and that..

Well I was out on the town last night from my friends birthday :) little tired this morning lol... but when I was gettting glammed up I decided to use my new avon 3 in 1 lipgloss/stick so I'm going to do a review maybe not today! :S had a great night though, just decided to chill out this afternoon get some pickies and veg out... i have a long weekend too so happy times! :) ta ta for now BF

Beauty Tip 3! (teens make up tip)

Teens Make Up This a teen tip! Try to keep colours light i.e. if you have bright eye make up on, try to use a sheer lipstick or just a clear gloss to help even things out (this will also help detract if you have braces on your teeth). Its also a good idea to try not to use too much harsh make up, remember your skin is young we want to maintain that :D

Origins Cleanser Review!

Image
Hi, so my origins goodies finally came and I've got some time now to do my review :D This is a really great product and its the first time I've actually used Origins. I bought the Origins a perfect world antioxidant cleanser with white tea. This was 150ml tube and it cost £15.00 pounds (which I think is around 23 dollars). At the moment the origins website (uk version) is offering a free gift with each purchase. I received 3 mini products as well which I will review at a later date. So you just take a small amount, about size of a pea and mix this with warm water, wash your face - massaging into skin then rinse thoroughly. This product really does leave your skin feeling really clean and soft. I do think Origins products can be a bit pricey but they are really good and I think that this tube will last me quite a long time as you only really need a small amount. This product does have quite a strong scent but its a nice fresh clean smell and isn't too overpowering. Over a

Beauty Tip 2!

Covering Blemishes  First off find the shade that matches your skin tone exactly. You can do this by checking the colour in natural light for best results. I usually use the back of my hand or my neck/face. Dab this onto any blemishes you want to cover on your face then pat this with your fingers, ensure they are clean :) Repeat this step until your happy with coverage.

Review!! Maybelline Colossal Volume Express

Image
Hey there.. so I am still awaiting my origins goodies but thought I would do a quick review of this brilliant mascara. I purchased this from my local chemist it was £6.99 (about 10 US dollars I think) and got the shade Glam Black. This was, believe it or not the first maybelline mascara I have tried, although I am a mascara addict! It was recommended by a friend so thought I would give it a bash. This mascara is really really good. The brush is quite chunky (see pic) and I am a big fan of these kinds of wands I don't like the new trend of the thin ones :-S. The packaging is really thick and bright as well really stands out in the make up bag! This mascara goes on really well and I had no clumps, I usually curl my lashes then apply first coat, let it dry then apply a second. However, on the pack it says only one needed and I really felt that I only really needed one with this! The colour is a beautiful black shade and this mascara really made my eyes pop so I would recommend it.

Beauty Tip 1!

Simple Skin! We all strive to have flawless skin, some of us  are blessed and some are not! So here is a good tip for foundation.. most women I know struggle to find the perfect foundation. Ensure your face is cleansed properly beforehand, moisturise then let it dry. You are then good to go. A good idea is to keep it simple, applying with a light touch can work wonders and is almost impossible to mess up. Putting a small amount onto a (clean) foundation brush and starting at the centre of your face, nose etc then you want to work your way outwards in a sweeping motion. This helps to even out the colour. Don't add powder and you can achieve a dewy look a la naturale (sort of!)... beauty flash.....

Today...

Was sunny! This is quite a rare thing where I live especially in September :D But yeah so I was off work today and decided to go meet my good friend for some lunch was really nice... I've also treated myself to some new origins goodies.. have to say I have only ever had samples before but today I saw some nice treats online and decided to go for it, so the review will be shortly on! until then :D

Review Max Factor Smokey Eye Duo

Image
Hey, well this is my review of the new Max Factor Eyeshadow Duo.. I was pretty excited when I saw this in a magazine recently and even though I thought it was a little on the expensive side £7.99 from my local drug store I choose the black and white shaded pencil as I thought I would wear this the most. BIG MISTAKE! The packaging is really nice as is all MF stuff usually and its a big brand so you expect it. I followed the very easy steps on the pack step 1 was to apply the first shade which was the black, so i did this. It felt quite difficult to blend and because I wasn't at home had to use the trusted finger. I then left it to dry as it was quite sticky. I then applied the second colour, the white. This was supposed to create the smokey eye effect but to be honest it just stuck to the other colour?? The actual make up is really nice but I feel they should have made one colour matte and one shimmery as this might have made it easier to blend and more prominent on the eye.
