Anti Ageing Skin Care Tips

The womens facial skincare market is worth millions of pounds,we all read about the newest products, and miracle creams and although some may benefit our skin, the best and most effective way to keep your skin looking and feeling great is to ALWAYS protect it from the sun and keep it as hydrated as possible. Use a gentle cleanser to wash your face twice a day. Cleansing regularly will keep your skin clean and healthy. Do not use cleansers that have high amounts of alcohol or other drying agents. Always moisturise. As we get older, our skin naturally becomes more dry. The skin care regime you have in your 20's may completely different to what you need to be doing in your 30's and up. You may find that your favourite moisturiser will change as you age. Women over 30 may want to consider anti-ageing skin products, including make up, eye creams and day/night creams.  Protect yourself from the sun. Many products have SPF i...

Teen Make Up & Beauty Tips

Your skincare regime is very important, and a lot more young ladies are wearing make up these days, so i though I would post some tips about making the most of that skin! If possible, you don't really need to be using foundation as a teenager. Foundation is usually for older women to help cover up! Instead try a concealer/blemish skip and maybe a powder, or even a light tinted moisturiser should be fine. Foundations can be really heavy on skin and usually aren't needed. Never use a different shade of lip liner to your lipstick/lipgloss. Lips or eyes, not both in general. If you have a strong lip, keep your eyes natural and vice versa. Acne is very common in teens, some tips to help are; Wash your face (gently) twice a day in warm water. As tempting as it be try never to pop spots.Wash your hands before and after applying anything to your face. Vaseline is great for lips, eyes and face! In general all you really need is a good mascara, lip balm/gloss and a good...

Mascara Review

Image
I'd have to say my essential part of my make up and general daily routine is mascara. It can just open up your eyes and even its all your wearing, choosing the right one can have a massive difference on looking just that lil bit more human! This post is mainly focusing on the 'promise' we have all seen to achieve that false lash effect with a mascara and no glue or stickyness in sight! 1. Collection 2000 Big Fake Lash Mascara - MY FAVE! This mascara is absoloutely brilliant! Its really reasonably priced and although on opening you might wonder how on earth you will fit that MASSIVE brush anywhere near your eye, you really can! I bought this for £4.99 when it first came out (quite a while ago) which is a fantastic price for such a great product. It is available in Black, Ultra Black and Brown. It really does add length and volume and comes pretty darn close to false lash effect in a mascara. I usually only need 2 coats and is will last the whole night! Th...

Review Gosh Foundation Primer

Image
This is my first primer I have to admit. I had read really good things about this and as I'm a bridesmaid in a few days time, and have decided to do my own make up!, I really wanted something that would be good for an all day set on my make up. This is a fantastic product. Its soooo smooth hence the velvet touch name. It also has quite a nice fragrance as well. I only needed a tiny amount and my make up stayed on all night with no touch up needed. This primer provides a great finish and evens out everything. It dries in really quickly as well and soaks great into the skin. I used this after moisturising, under my foundation and then set it with a loose powder. There are so many primers on the market and I dont use it every day only really on nights out and things but it definetely does what it says. This product is available at www.superdrug.com , www.goshcosmetics.com  RRP £9.99
