Best & Worst Concealers (in my opinion)


I am slightly obsessed with concealer. I, like many, am forever on the hunt for the best one, the one that will magically make my under eyes look at least 10 years better. This is a list of my best and worst. I have fair skin with pink undertones and I have some fine lines around my eye area. 

ELF 16hr Camo Concealer £5.99

This concealer promises full-coverage, 16-hour wear, featuring a large doe foot applicator to conceal, correct, contour and highlight for flawless skin. Says it is highly pigmented and dries matte. I bought the shade fair rose and unfortunately it was much too light for me. The doe foot applicator is large, larger than any I've used which I assume its meant to be for more coverage. I found this really hard to work with, it dries super fast and didn't blend very well at all. 

Loreal Infalliable Concealer £5.99

This is another full coverage concealer with a large doe foot applicator, matte finish and easy to blend.I chose the shade 320 porcelain,unfortunately this was quite light but i made it work,I found the shades a bit off as well with this one but I did find it easy to blend and gave good coverage. 

L'oreal True Match Concealer £6.99

This is my third in line for favourite. I got the shade rose ivory which is perfect for me. This is a gorgeous, soft formula and just glides onto the skin.It has a flat applicator which is good. It really brightens the under eye area and doesn't settle into my fine lines. A really great concealer and a great price. 

NARS Creamy Concealer £13.00 (mini version)

This is another full coverage concealer with a small doe foot applicator. It's a lovely creamy texture and lovely finish, I actually find this very similar to the L'oreal True Match concealer only more expensive. It's very brightening and again covers any fine lines and gives a smooth finish. 

Barry M All Night Long Concealer £3.99

I got this concealer in the shade Milk, after seeing a rave review on you tube. It didn't disappoint. This is a great concealer for the price, this shade is ideal for me and it brightens and smooths under eyes. It has a small doe foot applicator which fits perfectly around the under eyes, easily blendable as well. This is my favourite by a mile. 




I'd love to try some more concealers out, there is always room for improvement, plus you know, buying make up is so much fun.

Review Gosh Foundation Primer

This is my first primer I have to admit. I had read really good things about this and as I'm a bridesmaid in a few days time, and have decided to do my own make up!, I really wanted something that would be good for an all day set on my make up. This is a fantastic product. Its soooo smooth hence the velvet touch name. It also has quite a nice fragrance as well. I only needed a tiny amount and my make up stayed on all night with no touch up needed.This primer provides a great finish and evens out everything. It dries in really quickly as well and soaks great into the skin. I used this after moisturising, under my foundation and then set it with a loose powder. There are so many primers on the market and I dont use it every day only really on nights out and things but it definetely does what it says.
